Different Perspectives
"It is important to consider things from different perspectives?" In a fully formed paragraph, briefly respond to this statement citing details from your personal experience to support your position.
It is very important to view things from a different perspective because you need to stand in the other persons shoes. I have experienced this with my family. Like when I want to go somewhere but my siblings dont I have to try to understand why they dont want to go or why they want to go to a different place.
Whenever people dissagree over something, there will always be two sides to the story. Two different ways that they will see what happened. The truth, is usually embedded between the two sides. The best way to solve these dissagreements is usually to put yourself in the other person's shoes. See it their way. It will give you wisdom on the overall experience, solve the dissagreement, and give you insight for the future.
Yes, it is very important to see different perspectives. When you are in a sports game and you are winning by a lot. You have to put yourself in somebody else's shoes. Think when you were in that situation what would you want the other team to do. Also, you have to think about a time when you were losing by a lot and the other team just kept scoring and scoring.
It is essential to view and consider things from different perspectives. If you hear only one person's perspective on a situation, it may cause you to judge about an issue or a person. For example, if you hear about something in school about a kid who punched a kid and you just heard the story of the kid who got punched, you may judge that the person who did punch that kid is mean and a bully. However, you may not have heard the other side of the story. The kid who did punch the other kid might've had a good reason to. Whether he was defending himself or the other kid was making fun of him. It's always good to see different perspectives so you can look at both sides instead of judging based on one side of the story.
I believe that it is very important to consider things from every perspective possible. Seeing things from only the winning perspective makes people believe that there is only one perspective. The propaganda is on the victors side. For example: The Revolutionary War. We learn all about the side of the colonists during school but we do not learn about England's part of the war. We don't see their perspective. We have thoughts about what England did bad and how we had courage and bravery to stand up against them. We do not think about what might have happened for England to lose the war.
I believe that it is important to consider things from all different perspectives. When you read books about an attack on a city in ancient times, you hear about the story from the winners. You hear why they attacked and why they wanted to attack the other city. You never hear about the losing city and why they did or didn't want to go to war with the other country. If you consider things different ways it broadens your knowledge and doesn't let you pick who you think is better because you heard the story from all points of view.
You always need to see a story from different prospective so that you can see the different sides because the victors will exaggerate what happened and made there victory even better than it really was. Also when the victors won they celebrated by burning everything, which is pure history information. When my sisters fight me they always say something and I get in trouble when my parents never hear my side of the story, which could be what really happened.
I agree that you need to consider both sides. This because then you know which side you should pick instead of picking with the majority. I have been on the "losers" side and my father and mother never picked me and they always went to my brother's side because I'm older. I told them my side of the story and then they choose my side for once. However, this never happened them again.
