People should be scared of communism because all property (mines, factories, farms, businesses) is owned by the government. This creates a different economic system than a democracy because the government has total control over distribution and production of goods. In communism, social and economic statuses of all people are the same, which makes people feel more equal to each other and there isn’t so much of the rich vs. poor aspect. However, someone who worked in a very hard profession and worked a lot of hours could be receiving the same pay as someone who works at McDonalds, for instance. In a democratic government, there is freedom and the right to vote whereas in communism there are no elections or right to vote. People should be scared of not being able to voice their opinions, have equal social statuses, and having to equally share wealth.
A person might be scared of communism because it goes against freedom of speech, and the right to property. This might make people afraid and uncomfortable because all they know is to be free and have freedom of what they own. The definition of communism is a political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. Some people are scared of this; however, this is the way that some live. For example China is a communist country. This mean nobody is richer or poorer because everyone is being paid the same amount of money. This could be good for a person who has a easy job, but for a person who is working really hard this could be awful. Communism is based on everyone having the same social and financial status.
The definition of Communism is “ a political theory advocating class war, leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned, each person works, and is paid according to their abilities and needs.” Some people could be scared because they are unable to work, take care of themselves, and is limited in job they are incapable of doing. Many people, such as people unable to walk or in wheel cars, would be paid less than a able to walk person. Also a person who has to take care of children or elders in their family would have to work in even harder to be able to support their families. When you bring me back to the question, “why would anyone be scared of communism?” I think that people have many reasons, such as why would anyone be scared of sharks or spiders? However, communism is not a little creature under your bed; communism is like slavery. You can let it live on or you can abolish it. People would be scared of communism because it could be the thing that would kill your perfect little life.
The difference between Capitalism (which is the United States) and Communism is that one is extremely individualistic (Capitalism), while the other one (Communism) believes in putting the society before self. Communism shuns private/individual ownership of land or any vital resources. Instead, all the means of production like land and other resources should be owned by the community. This idea is completely opposite that of which Americans live by. Having your things owned by the State and not having any independence and freedom is a scary thought for some people. All land and resources which enable the production of goods and services will be owned by one and all. Everything will be shared! All decisions about production will be made by the whole community. Everyone receives equal wages. All the decisions taken will be according to what is good for all. People have no motivation to strive to do better because everyone still gets the same amount of money and their property is shared by everyone. Billionaires would be on the same ground as people in poverty which is why wealthy people can be scared of communism.
People would be scared of communism, because if there were no classes, some would lose their power to others who they did not feel deserved it. The homeless could have as much as the rich and there would be chaos. I think that if communism was enforced, people would get into a lot of wars because they would all feel powerful enough to beat other people. It would break apart nations into smaller ones because the people in the nations would not be able to agree with each other. Communism, would possibly have the effect of overthrowing itself because it would split people apart into smaller groups with the same ideas and then the different nations would get more power than others, undoing what communism had done.
Communism: A political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. Communism goes against the three things that Americans value most: the right to free speech, the right to property, and the right to freedom of religion. Also, it breaks society up into classes. There is the party leaders, the party members, and everyone else. The party leaders get the best perks, the party members get some pretty good perks, and everyone else has to wait for what’s left over. The idea of communism is great but can only work in a perfect society with a morally perfect leader. One flaw in the leader, such as becoming power hungry, will ruin the entire system. A major fear of communism is the crash of the system. Because it can be so easily flawed, it can put an entire society in danger. Communism is a system that works well in idea but is entirely reliant on specific things, it will always stay something that works well only in idea.
Why would someone be scared of communism? Communism is a system of government based on communes. The reason people might be afraid of this is because they might be scared that it will become more like a dictatorship. They might think this because most people believe that power or money can be corruptive and make someone a different person. Some people tend to associate communism with anarchy, so they might think that someone is trying to take down or change their government in a bad way. In the end there are many different reasons why people would be afraid of communism but it all circles around one thing. People don't want change.
Communism is a socialist government that promotes a classless, moneyless, and public ownership society. In order to achieve this utopia one must over through the existing government and a revolution must take place. The next step is to set up a dictator ship so that total control is in the hands of one person. The last step has never been obtained because that requires all other non-communistic countries to be destroyed. Communism is an unfair government because it states that everybody will be equal but there is still one leader that decides everything. It also gives the people that are not trying money when the people with jobs get their money taken away from them. I feel that the scariest part of communism is how aggressive believers are to want to achieve their utopian society. When Russia became communistic, it spread into all of Eastern Europe and this scared the rest of the Western world in fear that it might take over. Communism is still causing fears in all other capitalist countries.
